Gasworks Arts Park’s Bay Windows Photography Exhibition

I was thrilled to be one of 6 professional and amateur photographers invited to exhibit images in Gasworks Arts Park’s Bay Windows outdoor exhibition in 2021. The exhibition featured images of the urban and natural environment in my local area, the City of Port Phillip.

The exhibition was open Saturday 1 May to Sunday 27 June 2021, at Gasworks Arts Park

Artist Statement

The vibrant Gasworks Arts Park has been my immediate neighbour for the last 15 years and I’m a regular visitor to its parklands, café and farmers markets. 

I explored many areas within the City of Port Phillip while photographing images for this series, over several months in late 2020 during the lockdown. However, I was constantly drawn back to my favourite beaches and nearby urban environment, particularly the shape and form of old and new architecture and warmth of the summer beaches.

I am inspired to capture simplicity, colour, beauty and detail in my imagery, and these small moments of magic make my outings even more worthwhile.
